The question

Can a small catalog
feel like a shelf?

The layout puts a recognizable cover first, followed by the title and genre. Three original typographic covers give the fictional collection a visual rhythm while a restrained background keeps the page easy to scan.

Genre choices sit above the collection so the relationship between the control and the result stays clear.

The implementation

A visible change,
a clear result.

  • Buttons update the visible entries without leaving the page.
  • The active filter has a filled state and an accessible pressed state.
  • A live count reports the current number of visible books.
  • The layout retains readable titles on a narrow screen.

The study uses fictional titles and original cover compositions. It has no purchasing flow or inventory connection.
